This article is strictly for tournaments and how I will be looking to navigate large field or High Stakes tournaments. If you are looking for chalky picks, you are in the wrong place.
Attacking GPP with Paulie D
Tonight, we have a real ugly slate. Looks to me like Scherzer will be mega chalk and if playing on Fanduel, I would say fade him and leverage against him. Use a pitcher who can get you to 35-40 and then take Dee Gordon, Ozuna, and Stanton and hope they get to him. On DK with two pitchers its fine to grab Scherzer and then get different with the other pitcher and hitters.
P – Scherzer, Arrietta, Williams
C – Hedges, Avila, Castro
1B – Votto, Zimmermann, Aguillar
2B – Asuaje, Merrifield, Murphy
3B – Valbuena, Suarez, Rendon,
SS – Escobar, Cozart, Arcia
OF – Broxton, Goodwin (TOP PLAY ON SLATE). J Martinez, Harper, Margot, Calhoun
Top Stacks – Padres, Natonals,
On small slates like this, you have to find ways to get different while making the right plays. So this could be a night where you throw Scherzer and also have a marlin in your line up like Stanton or Ozuna and hope for a one off solo shot. I like to stick to 4×4, or 4x3x1 stacks on slates this small so you get a piece of the one or two teams that go off.
Good Luck
