This article is strictly for tournaments and how I will be looking to navigate large field or High Stakes tournaments. If you are looking for chalky picks, you are in the wrong place.
Attacking GPP with Paulie D
Same Idea as todays early slate, we want to stack and capture the team that scores the most today. We want to choose the teams that have the most power upside, run scoring potential and face a week bullpen after the starter. I think Bum, Severino, and McCarthy will make up a bulk of the pitching ownership and we need to decide if there are any reliable pivots or do we ride the chalky pitcher and find a way to differentiate other parts of our lineup.
P – Severino
C – Vmart (DET), Sal P (KC)
1B – Brandon Moss, Napoli, Adams
2B – Odor, Whit Merrifield
3B – Machado, Castellanos, Beltre
SS – Seager, Camargo
OF – Choo, C. Taylor, Frazier, Gomez, Judge (Top Play on the Slate), Holliday, Alex Gordon, Mickey Mahtook, Lorenzo Cain, Upton
Top Stacks – Tigers, Royals, Rangers, Baltimore
I think Judge breaks out of his slump tonight, however I don’t love the rest of the Yankees except, Frazier and Holliday. I love the Tigers and Royals environment and hope to mix and match and get some Royals at low ownership. Don’t sleep on the bottom of the tigers order they all mash lefties. Remember to try and do 4-2-1-1 or 3-2-2-1 to differentiate.
