This article is strictly for tournaments and how I will be looking to navigate large field or High Stakes tournaments. If you are looking for chalky picks, you are in the wrong place.
Attacking GPP with Paulie D
NOTE: Check the weather prior to building your line-ups, there are a few games in question!
This is a larger than usual slate for a Saturday night. With that said I do like this slate because there are no obvious chalk spots at Pitcher and for every player thinking pay up for pitching, there will be a player trying to pay down and get a piece of Coors or any of these other high totals. My thoughts are to stick to an optimal format which is choosing a more reliable high end pitcher with a balanced lineup around him.
P – Archer, Hill, Wheeler
C – Rupp, Gattis, G. Sanchez
1B – C Davis, Bour, Smoak, Thames
2B – Dozier, Moncada, Miller
3B – Machado, Shaw, Sano, Davidson
SS – Cozart, Simmons, K. Marte
OF – Trumbo (Top Play on the Slate) Seth Smith, Souza, Dickerson, B Phillips, Rayburn, Trayce Thompson
Top Stacks – Tampa, Brewers, Orioles
*New Section*
Pitcher’s To Pick On – Tillman, Zimmermann. Hellickson. Miranda
I like building 4-6 teams with two pitchers and a 4-2-2 approach or 3-3-2. Stay away from the common 4×4 stack tonight. On this large of a slate better chance at optimal lineup with more diversity of exposure versus 4 players from the same team.
Good Luck
