This article is strictly for tournaments and how I will be looking to navigate large field or High Stakes tournaments. If you are looking for chalky picks, you are in the wrong place.
Attacking GPP with Paulie D
This is a 10 game slate I do not love. On FD I do not see how you can fade Kluber at his price tag. So I do not see much edge to be had. If I was playing tonight, I would fade Kluber for a guy like Lamet, or Marquez and hope for a ceiling game where you can match Kluber point per dollar and out hit those teams with better bats.
P – Lamet, Hendricks, Roark, Marquez, E-Rod
C – H. Sanchez, Rupp, Flowers
1B – C Davis, Rizzo, Adams
2B – Baez, Murphy, Merrifield
3B – Machado, Beltre, Healy
SS – Story, Semian, Dejong
OF – Nick Williams, Scwarber, Aaron Altherr (Co-Top Play on Slate), S. Rodriguez, Seth Smith, A. Jones, Kivelehan, Goodwin, Harper (Co-Top Play on Slate)
Top Stacks – Philly, Orioles, Cubs
Pitchers to Pick on – Guerra, Dirx, Eickhoff
On 10 game slates, I like a 4x3x1, or 3x3x2 approach. Try to capture all the goodness from the one or two teams that go off. Cheap Pitching with all the good bats is the way to approach tourneys since 80% of the field will have Kluber or Greinke.
Good Luck
