Welcome to Cuse’s Core Four, in this article I’m going to go over a core of players that are optimal for today’s slate. The Core Four can be used in Cash or GPP so I will specify which format I prefer for each player.
Cuse’s Core Four w/ Cuse
Blake Snell ($8,100-DK, $7,300-FD) – I love Blake Snell tonight he is my favorite GPP pitcher on the slate. In Snell’s last two games he has been great, in 14 innings he has struck out 15 with only allowing 2 runs. The conditions tonight in Chicago will be optimal for pitching tonight so lock him in against the terrible White Sox.
Chris Ianetta ($3,500-DK, $3,500-FD) – Batting 2nd Ianetta is a great option at Catcher today while playing at Coors, he is the only Catcher I can see outscoring Gary the Goat tonight. Freeland has been hit hard of late as RH batters have a .366 wOBA versus him in the last 15 days. Ianetta is in play for all formats tonight.
Nelson Cruz ($4,900-DK, $4,100-FD) – Cruz has done very well vs Manaea in his career batting .429 with 2 Homeruns in 14 AB’s. This game is expected to be high scoring so lock Cruz in for all formats tonight.
Matt Carpenter ($4,000-DK, $3,900-FD) – Carpenter is starting to heat up again and faces Cueto who is coming back from the DL. Carpenter batting leadoff with a ton of upside tonight is just what you need tonight to win in Cash or GPP’s.
