In this article I will write up the pitchers I am considering for GPPs. I typically only play one line-up and enter it into the amount of contests I want to play for the night, needless to say my player pool is very narrow.

To be clear I typically don’t make my final choice until moments before the games start. This is because I am always checking the WiseTake Pitching model to see what opposing line-up numbers look like. I do however have a short list of pitchers that I am interested in for the day and will be sharing that with you.

GPP Pitching Prospectus by @CK_013

J.A. Happ ($8,400 FD, $8,700 DK) – The Orioles have been terrible against lefties all season. The line-up has been released at this point and the WiseTake Model has Baltimore’s line-up with a 25% K-Rate, a .303 wOBA and a .118 ISO vs Lefties this season. Happ is not Kershaw but does carry some K-Upside, and in his last start the Jays let him go over 100 pitches. This is more a play against the Orioles than a play for Happ, but if your trying to pivot off of Kershaw to have room for bats I think Happ can get you a quality start and with a decent bullpen behind him maybe even a win (he is a huge favorite).

Jameson Taillon ($8,300 FD, $7,500 DK ) – This kid has pitched significantly better at home since joining the majors. He is averaging a little over a 7 K/9 at home which could be enough against a Rays team that can strikeout. I typically prefer lefties against the Rays but like yesterday the elements of this park could be enough to throw the Ray’s offense off. While he isn’t the most attractive on paper, his match-up does provide some upside and it’s hard to imagine a world with him as the chalk, at least on FanDuel.

Dinelson Lamet ($8,100 FD, $7,000 DK ) – Lamet’s price on FanDuel had increased dramatically which makes me weary. Still he does have a favorable ball park in San Diego and he is sporting a K/9 over 10 at home (small sample). The match-up isn’t idea due to the fact that despite having poor offenses numbers, these Braves have a tendency to hang-out in the counts. Regardless on this type of slate I still think he can get the job done as long as he isn t walking guys.
