In this article I will write up the pitchers I am considering for GPPs. I typically only play one line-up and enter it into the amount of contests I want to play for the night, needless to say my player pool is very narrow.

To be clear I typically don’t make my final choice until moments before the games start. This is because I am always checking the WiseTake Pitching model to see what opposing line-up numbers look like. I do however have a short list of pitchers that I am interested in for the day and will be sharing that with you.

Slate Notes: There are a lot of interesting pitching options at the top but no must plays. In cash games I will be going with Price, in GPPs I may try to go elsewhere.

Trevor Cahill– Patio Joe likes this kid and I am with him. Match-up against the Phillies, the run total seems a little high but Cahill has been nasty this year. You also get him at a great price, he is coming off a decent game against the Indians, a team that doesn’t K and today he’s got the Phils who do.

Jimmy Nelson– Nelson is a new man this year. Last year I made a killing targeting against him but I learned quickly this year not to mess with him. He plays in Yankee Stadium today which sucks but he plays in Milwaukee anyway so he is used to navigating around a hitters park. The Yankees have also been pretty cold and have been losing a lot.

Masahiro Tanaka- A little worried with how many home-runs he has been giving up but the Brewers can bring you a lot of Ks. He’s a GPP play but he has shown us the upside in certain spots this season and this could one of them.
