In this article I will write up the pitchers I am considering for GPPs. I typically only play one main line-up and enter it into the amount of contests I want to play for the night, needless to say my player pool is very narrow.

To be clear I typically don’t make my final choice until moments before the games start. This is because I am always checking the WiseTake Pitching model to see what opposing line-up numbers look like. I do however have a short list of pitchers that I am interested in for the day and will be sharing that with you.

Slate Notes: I don’t see anyone at the top level that I feel is a must play so my pool is a little larger. It’s a crapshoot for pitchers tonight so in GPPs we may need to take some chances on guys with some K-upside.

Charlie Morton – The pitching slate isn’t great but Morton has maintained a k/9 over 10 on the road this year and draws a match-up against a bad offense and a team he used to play for. Not huge on the revenge factor in baseball but pitchers are the closest thing that applies since they have the ball in their hands the most.

Jon Gray – Laugh if you want but we know Gray has the upside. He hasn’t looked very good since his return from injury but his price on FanDuel is insane considering he is away from Coors.

Wade Miley – Our boy Cuse did a solid air density report which helps us identify what pitchers have the best environments for their pitch movement. He mentioned this game which got me looking into Miley and the last good game Miley had was against the Rays in Baltimore. The Rays are struggling and their numbers against lefties are terrible. We all know the Ray’s K in bunches, long shot GPP play but on the short-list for sure.
