In this article I will write up the pitchers I am considering for GPPs. I typically only play one main line-up and enter it into the amount of contests I want to play for the night, needless to say my player pool is very narrow.

To be clear I typically don’t make my final choice until moments before the games start. This is because I am always checking the WiseTake Pitching model to see what opposing line-up numbers look like. I do however have a short list of pitchers that I am interested in for the day and will be sharing that with you.

Slate Notes: Pitching is kind of up in the air again, there doesn’t seem to be that standout must play pitcher.

Gio Gonzalez – On paper this match-up looks great. Gio has generated more K’s at home this season and draws a match-up against a strikeout heavy Brewers team. I would expect Gio to gain some popularity tonight so if your trying to be sneaky, this is not the play your looking for.

Jimmy Nelson – The Nationals aren’t striking out much that haven’t looked so great either. Cuse told us this game is a decent pitching environment and while Gio may be the obvious play, Nelson should be considered as well considering the year he has had.

Carlos Martinez – C-Mart hasn’t looked great lately but he is discounted a fair bit from what we saw him priced at earlier this year. The Rockies can strikeout in bunches and if C-Mart’s stuff is on we may be able to take advantage of the big park downgrade. I will look for C-Mart to rack up some K’s and put up a solid outing.
