What’s going on Nation. We didn’t do a podcast last night so instead of not doing any MLB content for Thursday’s Slate I figured I would give you guys a brief rundown of the slate and where we want to start our research tomorrow. We constantly mention it, but there is about a week and half left of the MLB season and why not take advantage?
First Look w/KamG333
FanDuel is hooking us up with a 9-game slate tomorrow.
Rays at Orioles
- Gabriel Ynoa is a guy you can attack with both LHH and RHH but personally I would attack him with the lefties.
- Rays as a team are the worst team in baseball vs RHPing in the last 14 days with a 41 wRC+ and striking out 30% of the time.
- Matt Andriese is someone who gives up the damage from the right side of the plate with a 2.29 HR/9 rate vs RHH’s this year. Hard Contact from both sides of the plate sits around 40% but induces ground balls at over a 50% rate vs LHH’s
- Baltimore is the 4th worst team in baseball vs RHPing in the last 14 days with a 51wRC+ and a 27% k percentage.
Royals at Blue Jays
- Jason Vargas gives up more HR/9 to RHH at 1.42 than 1.17 for LHH. His xFIP for the LHH’s is 5.68 which is really bad. So you cant go wrong from both sides here.
- Kendry Morales hits a lot better from the right side of the plate where he will be hitting tomorrow.
- As RHH this year .356 avg, .229 ISO, 156wRC+, and 43% hard contact rate.
- JA Happ can get blown up at times and the Royals just blew up a lefty today!! His numbers don’t glare out as bad from either side of the plate. RHH get a slight edge but not by much.
- Cain, Melky, Gordon, Moss have good BvP
- Kendry Morales hits a lot better from the right side of the plate where he will be hitting tomorrow.
Twins at Tigers
- Adalberto Mejia is a reverse splits pitcher but stats indicate regression in numbers vs RHH’s. 2.3 HR/9 to LHH’s.
- Kinsler and Candelario
- Jordan Zimmerman is someone you can stack against from both sides of the plate with LHH’s getting a slight edge based on the stats but not by much.
- Minnesota backs- pick’em
Cards at Reds
- Carlos Martinez is someone I will have to look into more tomorrow but got roughed up his last start at CHC and looks like the Reds touch him up in spots.
- Scooter and Cozart have homered off him.
- Ball park downgrade
- Homer Bailey the cardinals have killed him in his career and want bats against him, not him throwing for me.
- Carpenter, Fowler, Yadi
Nats at Braves
- Tanner Roark good vs RHH but stuggles vs LHH. It’s a matter of if he has his sinker going or not and I think he has found it. Don’t mind pitching him tomorrow or taking a Braves LHH vs him either.
- RA Dickey… Lol
White Sox at Astros
- Carson Fulmer is bad at pitching and has terrible numbers vs both sides. Fly ball rates are at 58% vs RHH and 65% vs LHH. 2.8HR/9 vs LHH.
- I’ve seen flashes of some Hou offense lately, maybe tomorrow they can put it all together.
- Dallas Keuchel is in a great spot vs a strikeout heavy team but they have good BvP against him as they touched him up before he went on the DL.
- Astros are -316 favorites with the CWS having a 3 run total.
Cubs vs Brewers
- Jake Arrieta is coming back off the DL in a huge series opener vs the Brewers at Miller Park. Arrietta has good BvP vs the Brewers.
- Brewers lefties would be the ones to get to him tomorrow with maybe a hot Domingo bat as well.
- Zach Davies got touched up his last start vs MIA but has pitched well vs the Cubs this year.
- Limits hard contact and keeps the ball on the ground. 1 offs for Cubs, Bryant good BvP.
Rockies at Padres
- Tyler Anderson I am not going to target for pitching or against tomorrow.
- Clayton Richard you can attack against with the RHH’s
- I LOVE YOU HUNTER RENFROE YOU TRIPLE DONG S.O.B
Rangers at Mariners
- Cole Hamels can get hurt by these RHH tomorrow for the Mariners
- Haniger
- Paxton is my dude when healthy, but he is not. Velo in that last start was down 3-4 mph. Fade until proves me he is.
- Texas bats hit well tonight finally.
- Andrus, Beltre, Chirinos are in play as the last start Paxton had he got shelled by the HOU righties.
Thanks Nation!
