NBA DFS Value Plays by FantasyBum
6 games on the slate with some fast paced games with high totals. My favorite game to target is the Nets/Clippers game, which has the second highest total on the slate and has some very good options.
This article will focus on value plays and today they will be under 6k using FanDuel pricing. These are the players I think have the best chance of hitting and/or exceeding value. Most of these plays will give you good value with upside to help in GPP’s. The plays are best used in addition to your favorite higher priced plays.
*Pricing and DvP are based off FanDuel, but can be used for most sites.
**Risk/Reward plays are best for GPP’s as a punt play. High upside at their price along with some risk.
Point Guards
Austin Rivers ($5100)
River’s has played over 30 minutes in both games since returning from injury. He has also hit value in both games. Excellent matchup tonight as the Nets struggle defending the PG position and they run at a fast pace.
Rajon Rondo & Shelvin Mack ($5500)
They are both in play tonight. Good matchups and solid upside at the current price. Rondo has played well vs the Pistons. Put up 44 FP’s last time they met.
TJ McConnell ($4500)
I have been playing him at his lower price lately. Price bump, but still a solid value play. Plays well against the Knicks.
Risk/Reward Play – Emmanuel Mudiay made his Knicks debut yesterday and played 29 minutes and put up 29.4 FP’s. He gets a nice mathcup tonight and for only 3.7k could show some more upside tonight. Just shy of a FPPM on the season with 25% usage rate.
Shooting Guards
Danny Green ($4400)
Green put up 25 FP’s vs the Jazz a few games ago. No Aldridge tonight, so he could have himself a bigger game, especially if he can hit from behind the arc. Peripheral stats are usually solid, especially on the defensive end.
DeAngelo Russell ($5400)
This is the game I want the most exposure to as it has the 2nd highest point total and both teams are lacking defensively. Russell got 31 minutes last game and put up 37 FP’s. He should have no problem hitting value tonight in this matchup and if he gets over 39 minutes again he should do very well.
Avery Bradley ($4200)
Solid minutes and gets an excellent matchup in a pace up game. Should easily hit value.
Risk/Reward Play – Troy Daniels has started as of late. Fast paced game with the highest total on the board tonight.
Small Forwards
Royce O’Neale ($4000)
Started last night and had a very good game. Last time he played the Spurs he put up 37.5 FP’s. Should see solid minutes again and at only 4K he is an excellent value with upside. Nice boost with Rubio out again.
James Ennis ($3500)
Ennis just joined the Pistons and played 23 minutes in his first game. He gets an excellent matchup against the Pelicans who rank 21st defending the position. Cheap play that could put up 7x in this matchup.
E’Twaun Moore ($4500)
I normally don’t play Moore, but I think he is in a good spot tonight vs the Pistons. Excellent matchup, pace up game and he plays a ton of minutes.
Power Forwards
Davis Bertans ($3900)
The Spurs have already ruled out Aldridge, so Bertans should see solid run tonight. 20 or more FP’s in the last two games. Should have no problem hitting value with potential for upside at this price.
Jae Crowder ($3700)
Crowder made his Jazz debut last night and had a pretty good game (15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal). Like him tonight vs the Spurs who won’t have Aldridge. Nice upside at this price.
Marquese Chriss ($4700)
Last game Chriss got into foul trouble and did not play much. Bender benefited and put up a good game. Tonight, I see Chriss playing well vs the Warriors. Good matchup as the Warriors struggle defending PF’s and C’s.
Centers
Pau Gasol ($5400)
Gasol picks up +5% usage with Aldridge off the court. He should play 25+ minutes as the Spurs will need him in order to keep this game close. Has shown 40 FP upside.
Tyson Chandler ($4400)
Chandler sat out the last two games and prior to that played over 30 minutes against the Lakers and Hornets. Excellent matchup, fast paced game and lots of rebounding opportunities.
Jarrett Allen ($5800)
Excellent matchup and should easily hit value.
