NBA DFS Value Plays by FantasyBum

Hey WiseTake Nation! 8 game slate with a good amount of players in the higher price range. This value article will help you fit in some of you favorite stars tonight.

This article will focus on value plays and today they will be under 6k using FanDuel pricing. These are the players I think have the best chance of hitting and or exceeding value. Most of these plays will give you good value with upside to help in GPP’s. The plays are best used in addition to your favorite higher priced plays.

*Pricing and DvP are based off FanDuel, but can be used for most sites.

**Risk/Reward plays are best for GPP’s as a punt play. High upside at their price along with some risk.

Point Guards

Tomas Satoransky ($5600)

Satorasky has put up solid fantasy production in five straight games now and a few were done scoring in single digits. Averaging 9.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.6 steals in that time frame. Good value play in this matchup with limited upside.

Andrew Harrison ($5400)

Harrison is $200 cheaper than Satoransky and has been just as consistent, but has a bit higher upside and a much better matchup. Hawks have allowed 51 FP’s to opposing PG’s putting Mario Chalmers in play as well at only 3.6k.

Tyler Ulis is only 3.7k and should starts and see 30 plus minutes with Booker out. He also should be the chalk at PG (Possible 50+%) His game logs scare me, but he should hit value in this matchup.

Risk/Reward Play – Trey Burke may get some extra run tonight if Frank Ntilikina does not go. 20 minutes 22.4 FP’s, 17 minutes 21.7 FP’s, 28 minutes 36.8 FP’s. He can produce when he gets the minutes.

Shooting Guards

Troy Daniels ($3500)

Devin Booker has already been ruled out for tonight which opens up more minutes for Troy Daniels. This guy likes to take shots and has a nice matchup against the Lakers tonight in a fast paced game. 7x upside is definitely in sight tonight and most will go to Ulis, so you may get Daniels at lower ownership.

Josh Hart ($5000) & Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($5300)

Both of these Laker SG’s are in a great spot tonight as the Suns have allowed 49 FP’s to opposing SG’s, which is 1.26 times the league average. Hart has actually been starting at the SF as of late and the Suns struggle to defend that position as well. He has also been very aggressive on the boards as of late. Hart is my preference and a cheap way to get exposure to this fast paced game, but KCP is in play as well. If you want to take a risk Jordan Clarkson has the highest upside if he plays 28-30 minutes.

Risk/Reward Play – Wayne Seldon is still 3.8k and still playing over 30 minutes a game. With his last two games being duds most will be off him, but he gets a very nice matchup tonight as the Hawks allowed 42 FP’s to opposing SG’s over the past two week, which is 1.15 times the league average. He is listed as a GTD so keep an eye on his status closer to lock.

Small Forwards

Josh Jackson ($5900)

This kid has been playing very well this year and as of late (31.5, 29.8, 39.6, 29.6 in last four). His usage goes from 25.1 to 29.3 with Booker off the court and he gets an excellent matchup against the Lakers tonight in the fastest paced game on the slate.

Jonathon Simmons ($4800)

Simmons has two solid games against the Cavaliers this season a 26.3 and 32.6 FP’s. The Cavs are still ranked one of the worst defensive teams as of late and especially against opposing SF’s. Also, Simmons has three 20 FP games over the past four. Like him for a low ownership/high upside play in this matchup. Mario Hezonja is in play as well, but think he gets the higher ownership.

Risk/Reward Play – Joe Harris has been playing solid minutes and has shown upside in the right matchup.

Power Forwards

JaMyChal Green ($4900)

Green is back from injury and played 20 and 25 minutes over the last two games. He posted 17.9 and 24.7 FPs in that time frame. I am expecting him to stay around 25-28 minutes tonight. Matchup is ideal as the Hawks have allowed 47 FP’s to opposing PF’s over the past two weeks, which is 1.12 times the league average. Value is in sight tonight with some upside if he sees the higher end of his minutes.

Quincy Acy ($3900)

The Nets will be without RHJ again tonight, so Acy should continue to see minutes. He is listed as a GTD due to an injury he got during Sunday’s game, but played through it. Watch his status before lock. Good matchup and fast paced game. Should easily hit value at 3.9K.

Jeff Green ($3500)

Minimal price and playing against one of his former teams. Magic run at a fast pace and don’t play defense well. This is the type of game where Uncle Jeff could put up 6-8x.

Serge Ibaka ($4800)

The Celtics are a good defensive team, but struggle vs certain positions and player types. The one position they have been struggling against is opposing PF’s allowing 1.2 times the league average. Ibaka starts and should play solid minutes tonight against the Celtics.

Risk/Reward Play – Larry Nance and Kyle Kuzma both of their prices have fallen to under 5k and so have their minutes. One never knows what Walton will do as the minutes fluctuate so often. This matchup is tough to pass up, so I will have exposure to one of these guys in a second or third lineup.

Mike Scott is another player that brings upside at his 3.5k price tag tonight. Value + in three of his last four games.

Centers

Tyson Chandler ($4200)

Excellent matchup and fast paced game signal a lot of shot attempts. Good news for Chandler who should have no problem grabbing boards over Brook Lopez. 15 rebound game is not out of the question if he gets 28 plus minutes. I also like Alex Len as a punt play, but his minutes are not always there. Nice upside is he sees close to 20 minutes.

Mo “Buckets” Speights ($3800)

The Cavs have been one of the worst defensive teams lately. Speights is just above minimal price and won’t need many minutes to hit value in this matchup. They don’t call him Mo Buckets for nothing.

Risk/Reward Play – Aron (not A-aron) Baynes has been playing solid minutes with the injuries to the Celtics. Excellent matchup as the Raptors have allowed over 54 FP’s to opposing C’s over the past two weeks. 7x upside in sight with 20 plus minutes and should come in under 5% ownership.

*Good Luck and Stay Cashing
