The NFL website went over several 2017 NFL Draft rookies that can step in and make instant-impacts in their first year.
This is a must list to watch as rookies can easily win you good money in daily fantasy when they either get on the field by earning a spot or as an injury replacement. Usually, lists like this have a good deal of defensive players or guys on the offensive line.
Indeed, the Atlanta Falcons went to the SuperBowl on the back of a few starting rookies on defense. However, a few guys stepped in right from the beginning last few seasons with big impacts early on. Here are a few players that were mentioned that could become a factor in daily fantasy this season.
Tarik Cohen, running back, Chicago Bears
Round 4, No 119 overall. Should provide burst out of the backfield, including some receptions. Watch out for him in pre-season daily fantasy football on DraftKings.
Evan Engram, tight end, New York Giants
The Giants have always had good tight ends that couldn’t always put it together. Engram ran a 4.42 official 40 time at the NFL scouting combine, at 234 lbs.
Leonard Fournette, running back, Jacksonville Jaguars
Fournette has the ability and the chance to become the first 1K rusher in Jacksonville since 2011.
Mike Williams, wide receiver, Los Angeles Chargers
Drafted 7th overall Williams is the type of guy that will benefit having a QB like Philip Rivers. Great size and can track the ball, and should be able to bring down some jump-balls.
