Preseason Week 3

The preseason can be really profitable if you nail a core group of players. Similar to NBA we are looking to attack minutes. Anybody we get word will see high volume of reps, we are interested in. Just like regular season, we are looking to stack up a QB with play makers to take advantage of correlation.  This is the week starters get the most run. That may mean 1 quarter or a maximum of 2 quarters. Even in less time the starters are more likely to produce and score points, however the backups will have more minutes/opportunities and will be very low owned. You can take down a gpp with a low owned back up that goes off. I like to get a mix of both starters and some fliers on back ups with upside. I have scoured beat writers, Team Previews, and Twitter all day looking for news and below is what I plan to use today. I will do my best to drop any pertinent news in the slack today after the MLB show. So likely between 6:30-7:00PM eastern time.

***I am going to go game by game with some analysis. There are really only 3 spots I will be getting the bulk of my exposure to based on playing time expectations. There are a few players I will sprinkle in from the other teams, but the bulk of our focus will be on KC, NYJ, and 49’ers.

Houston Texans – Nothing much here. Starters shouldn’t play more then a quarter and they are pretty banged up.

Joe Webb (QB)

Buddy Howell (RB)

Texans (DST)

Dallas Cowboys – Not much here either. You could take a flier on Tony Pollard, but I doubt they run him much considering he may be RB#1 if Zeke holds out.

Tony Pollard (RB)?

Chicago Bears  – Starters won’t play much, but I don’t mind sprinkling in a wide receiver here.

Riley Ridley (WR) (Q)

Marvin Hall (WR)

Bears (DST)

Indianapolis Colts  – Starters won’t play but this is actually a sneaky group that will be very low owned. Chad Kelly was great in college and performed well last preseason.

Chad Kelly (QB)*

A. Ware (RB)

Deon Cain (WR)

Zach Pascal (WR)

New Orleans Saints– Starters do not get much run here either. Teddy Bridgewater has performed in preseason before though if you are building many teams I would sprinkle him an Cobbs in as a stack.

Teddy Bridgewater (QB)***

Simmie Cobbs (WR)

New York Jets –  Starters expected to play entire first half. I am bullish on this offense as a whole for the season, and really like them tonight against mostly 2nd and third string defenses.

Sam Darnold (QB)***

Robby Anderson (WR)***

Jamison Crowder (WR)***

TY Montgomery (RB)***

Elijah McGuire (RB)

Chris Herndon (TE)

San Francisco 49’ers  Another offense we want to have pieces of. May play into the 3rd quarter and same goes for their opponent.

Jimmy Garoppolo (QB)***

Jalen Hurd (WR)***

Deebo Samuel (WR)

Tevin Coleman (RB)

Matt Breida (RB)

Kansas City Chiefs – I think they will be the chalk offense, but you can see why. Expected to play into the third quarter and loaded with talent.

Pat Mahomes (QB)***

Tyreek Hill (WR)***

Damien Williams (RB)

Travis Kelce (TE)***

Mecole Hardman (WR)

Darwin Thompson (RB)***

Denver Broncos – Nothing here

Broncos (DST)

Los Angelas RamsNothing here

Rams (DST)***

Seattle Seahawks – You could add them into the mix, but they are far behind the top 3 teams for me.

Rashaad Penny (RB)

Jazz Ferguson (WR)

Russell Wilson (QB)

Seahawks (DST)

Los Angelas Chargers – Not much here

Detrez Newsome (RB)*
