This is other very hard golf course and the wind usually really affects that. We have high winds forecast for Thursday and Sunday with thunderstorms on Sunday. Friday and Saturday the winds aren’t very strong. Only 5 holes on the course average an under par score on them and 4 of them are par 5’s. So they have to score birdies on these par 5’s. And with that these guys have to get through “The Snake Pit” without huge numbers to make the cut this week. The Snake Pit is holes 16, 17, and 18. All 3 holes are very hard and usually decide this tournament. Very important to hit fairways this week cause this ruff is nasty everywhere. And there’s not much of it around the fairways cause they are lined by a close tree line. Another week where there will be a lot of less then driver off the tee. Not just trees and nasty ruff everywhere here either. There’s plenty of bunkers, water, and severe doglegs on some of these holes. Although this course is in Florida there are also elevation changes all over it. The greens are average in size with severe sloping from back to front on the greens. They are average in speed unless they are above the hole then it will be very fast. Friday and Saturday there can be some scoring out here with little wind. But Thursday and Sunday they will just be trying to survive with the wind. So like 2 weeks ago this course will be very hard and not many guys out there under par. Usually one of the hardest courses on tour.
