A Pete Dye course so it is unique. All of his courses are. This is Course is a placement course not a distance course. Average driving distance here is shortest on the Tour. Very important to hit the spots off the tee to have a clean approach shot. The fairways here are tight. Lined by thick trees, bunkers, and some water in play. The greens here are also very small. Smallest on the PGA Tour. Almost all with heavy bunkers and some with trees hanging over them and blocking the greens. The greens here are very slow and have very little slopes. Only 57% of greens are hit here. The greens are really small. 2 of the 3 Par 5’s are reachable by just about every golfer here. The wind does look tame right now for the first 2 days but could always change with this being on the ocean.
