Very tuff course usually one of the hardest on tour each year that’s not a major tournament. The wind has a lot to do with that. In Texas so usually plenty of wind. Also very tuff par 5’s here with only 1 being reachable by most golfers. Fairways are narrow lined with trees and plenty of bunkers. Only a few holes have water here. But plenty of native areas that are desert like areas full of trees, bushes, and rocks. Want to stay out of these areas or could get unlucky in it and put up a huge number. Hard to hit the fairways and greens here, both hit under 60% of the time. The greens are average in size with lots of slopes and levels. They are firm but not very fast. Ruff is a little thicker here then the last few weeks but nothing terrible. Just really gotta stay out of the desert areas. The winds are in the teens everyday with gusts up to 20 but it’s Texas and that could change at any moment. Make sure to read Roth’s weather report and check the wind closer to lock. But as of now I’m not seeing any tee time wave advantage.
