Hello to everyone on this beautiful Tuesday morning.  Last night’s slate was indeed and interesting one and the articles posted from our experts were awesome.  Today we get a full 15 game slate with many options to choose from so let’s dig in to see which pitchers are Hot or Not.

Pitchers, Hot or Not by Cuse

Hot Pitchers

Clayton Kershaw ($14,000-DK/$12,700-FD) – As we mentioned the last time Kershaw pitched, he is fully healthy and pitching like it.  Today if you want to benefit from his dominate pitching you’re going to need some cheap bats with his Drafting’s price of $14,000.  In Kershaw’s last four games his worst score has been (31-DK/51-FD) and he gets a strikeout happy CWS that we saw Paxton dominate last week.

Brad Peacock ($10,300-DK/$9,200-FD) – Peacock comes into today has the highest rated pitcher on the WiseTake Model.  Peacock has been one of the biggest surprises in MLB this year but the only concern I’ve had with him is how far he can go into games.  Peacock throws a lot of pitches per inning and usually goes 5-6 innings but despite that he has been fire this year for DFS players.  Peacock is on a season long heater other than one bad game back in June so if he can get to the 6th inning I’ll be happy with him today.

Michael Wacha ($9,500-DK/$8,100-FD) – Wacha in his last 3 games has certainly turned a corner averaging (6 innings, 5 hits, 1 ER, and 8 K’s) in those starts.  All three of those games were home games though and today he will be facing the Mets on the road that love to hit RHP.  Wacha’s away splits have not been very good this year (0-2, 7.03 ERA) so be careful with him today.  Can Mr. Fozzie Bear Wacha stay hot today?

Cold Pitchers

Dylan Bundy ($6,300-DK/$7,400-FD) –  Bundy has been just flat out cold since the second week of June.  He did mix in a decent performance against Tampa Bay but we all know how much they strike out, so it makes sense.  Looking deep into Bundy’s number he ranks among the worst in every Statcast category for pitching in the past month or so.  Today he will face off against a Rangers team that you can’t take lightly on any night.  Bundy will be a pitcher I target tonight.

Matthew Boyd ($5,600-DK/$6,500-FD) – Boyd could be the coldest pitcher on the slate tonight, even more then the night guy we’re going to mention but he can take a back seat as the second worst today.  In his last 4 games, he has an average of (4 innings, 9 hits, 4.5 ER, and 2 K’s) which is pretty pathetic for a MLB pitcher.  Today Boyd will face a Royals team that enjoys LHP so expect Mr. Boyd to be back on this list.

Bartolo Colón ($4,700-DK/$5,700-FD) –  I Really wish I could play the song by Eminem right now “Look who’s back, back again”.  Colon for some reason still can find work in MLB despite being the icon for gas cans.  There’s really no need to write anything about Colon because we all know he just stinks and will be heavily targeted tonight.
