There’s a nice 4 game WNBA slate on both Fanduel and Draftkings for Wednesday starting at noon Eastern Standard time. If you’re looking for some DFS to play during the MLB All-Star break look into playing some WNBA. Personally, I’m very excited because most WNBA slates are usually only 2-3 games so we will have many more options to choose from for players for this slate. As of Tuesday morning, the spreads and totals are still not available for tomorrows slate. In this article I’m going to give you some of my top plays for Wednesday but please also check out our Draftkings and Fanduel projection sheets.
WNBA Alley Oop w/ @Cuse
Guards
Skylar Diggins-Smith ($11,400-DK/$7,300-FD) – DAL: Diggins-Smith comes in as the highest priced Guard on both sites but with good reason. Diggings-Smith has bounced back well from her ACL injury in the 2015 season and has regained her All-Star form. There isn’t a guard right now that has the ceiling or consistency of Smith. If you want to pay up at the guard position she’s a great play for Wednesdays slate.
Brittney Sykes ($7,600-DK/$5,500-FD) – ATL: In Sykes past 5 games her minutes have seen a drastic increase. Sykes will face a difficult Phoenix defense but for her salary and her floor she will be a great play for Wednesday. In her past 6 games she has averaged almost 30 Fanduel points.
Alex Montgomery ($4,700-DK/$4,300-FD) – SA: Since returning to the starting lineup 3 games ago Montgomery has improved dramatically. Wednesday, she gets a weak Indiana defense and should be a lock for 4x value on both sites. Montgomery has been inconsistent on the offensive end but if her shot is falling she will easily be a top play at guard for Wednesday.
Forwards
Breanna Stewart ($11,800-DK/$8,400-FD) – Sea: I have Stewart ranked as the top Forward on our projection sheet for Wednesday. Stewart and Griner are both very close but Stewart has been more consistent this year so if you play cash I would personally use her over Griner. In Stewart past 4 games her worst game was 37 Fanduel points. She should see a boost in points with Connecticut’s high pace and weak defense vs forwards.
Brittney Griner ($12,600-DK/$8,900-FD) – PHO: Although Griner’s salary is the highest on both sites you still must give her consideration because of her upside. Griner has had a few games this year that she hasn’t hit value but she has been scorching hot in her past 3 games. I like her more in GPP formats but can understand if someone want to roster her in cash formats.
Theresa Plaisance ($6,200-DK/$4,900-FD) – DAL: The minutes have always been there for Plaisance, unfortunately her consistency hasn’t been. Wednesday she gets a great matchup versus Chicago and played very well in her last game out so I expect her to perform very well on Wednesday.
